Mott Jordan |
Mott Jordan has branched out from monumental painting, and has begun to explore the possibilities presented by the computer. His new work includes a series of black and white computer manipulated images. Mott's goal was to mimic techniques used in classical printmaking, and to create images that are as close to traditional prints in look and feel as possible. Mott has succeeded in creating textures similar to those found in etching and monoprint using computer paint programs. The end result reminds the viewer of his earlier paintings and montages which combine dissimilar elements into dreamlike surreal compositions, but with a more unified presence like a pencil drawing or lithograph.
