"Land of Many Uses"
barbed wire, acorns, sugar, and dandylion fluff
11x11x9
Kim's piece is a carefully considered composition of organic and man-made found objects.  The nest or bowl is rusted barbed wire, cradling a pillow of dandylion fluff. The spoons are molded sugar.

Kim White is a multi-talented "Renaissance woman".  Kim is a graduate of the art institute of Chicago, with experience as both a traditional artist, and as a cutting edge computer artist and animator. Kim currently works for Pixar on animated feature films.
Kim's works are meditative constructions meant to represent a complex thought or idea. " Land of Many Uses" explores the idea that the land is precious and desireable, and that as many people experience or use the land, a small part of it is taken away forever.
