Christine Morla
Los Angeles, California
Migration
leaves, bark, and gel media, three 15x15 wooden panels
Christine's construction consists of a controlled burst of organic pattern.  Each panel is a deeply textured arrangement of bark or leaves, with a distinct pattern and sense of direction.  The left panel is stongly vertical, the center distinctly diagonal, and the right is a randon chaotic burst of form.  As a whole, the three panels hold the viewer's attention, and form a pleasing, almost soothing, visual experience.
