Lynn Zachreson
Lynn's images come from her dreams, her life experiences, and the observation of her environment.  They also appear to come from an emotional space deep wthin her that makes them bold and evocative.  Her paintings walk a fine line between the painterly and the graphic.  Her images of crows evoke a disturbing emotional reaction, but also break up her canvases into distict regions of color and form.
I found Lynn concentrating on gessoing a brilliantly white canvas, and I found myself staring whistfully as she layered gesso onto the canvas, like a neighborhood boy about to trade an apple for a chance to whitewash Tom Sawyer's fence.

Lynn paints in acrylic on large canvases, often breaking her images into tryptics.  Her gentle personalty contrasts with the fiery emotional intensity of her work.  Her paintings hint at the emotional struggles we all face in living our lives.
