Susan Rothenberg
The female form is the focus of the work of Susan Rothenberg.  Susan creates panels and freestanding sculptures from concrete and clay.  Many of her newer works are sculpted in clay, then molded using a synthetic resin.  Her larger works are formed concrete, embedded with bits of colored tile and stone.

Susan's images celebrate the relationship between women, the earth, and the forces of nature.  Her sculptures portray individual women, and groupings of women in poses that indicate nobility, worship, and celebration,  They are images of the earth mother, divine vessel of the seed of life.  Her pieces carry on the tradition of fertility and goddess figures that have been created since the stone age.
